Specialized ultra-small pellets designed to smooth the transition from sow's milk to dry feed.

 

Benefits:

First Response is highly palatable to encourage feed intake. It contains plasma proteins, lactose and milk proteins at levels needed by young pigs immediately post-weaning. It can also be used as a creep feed when milk supply is limited. First Response is normally fed for 5 to 10 days after weaning.

Purpose:

MEDICATED FEED

 

The 100 Series has been the "workhorse" of the Sunglo line with a well deserved reputation of maximizing gain and muscle after the starter period. Feeds of this series have guarantees of 20% Protein, 1.2% Lysine and 5.5% Fat, along with high levels of vitamins and minerals.

 

Benefits:

S-101 is medicated with 100 grams/ton of Tylan®, which gives good control of dysentery and ileitis and has no withdrawal. This is truly a "complete" feed, requiring no additional supplements unless you need to adjust energy intake for final show ring condition. A normal feeding plan for this product would be to self-feed until pigs weigh at least 125 pounds. Then evaluate for desired growth rate and condition and either continue self-feeding this product up to 200 pounds or begin hand-feeding this diet at a reduced rate.

 

S-104 contains 200 g/ton of Lincomycin and can reduce the severity of pneumonia in swine. Feed as the sole ration to pigs weighing 44 pounds in body weight to 250 pounds.

Purpose:

MEDICATED FEED

 

The 500 Series can be postioned across a wide range of genetics to achieve optimal growth, muscling and condition. This line guarantees 18% Protein, 1.10% Lysine and 5.5% Fat.


Benefits:

S-501 medicated with Tylan is the most used product in the 500 Series. Tylan does not require a withdrawl time.

 

S-505 can be used to de-worm show pigs. This feed contains Fenbendazole (Safeguard®) at 32.66 mg/lb. Feed 12 1/2 lb. for every 100 lb. of body weight of the pigs to be wormed over 3-12 days (5 lb./day for 3 days for pigs weighing 120 lb.).
This will supply Fenbendazole at the rate of 9 mg per kg body weight (4.08 mg/lb). Feed as the sole ration. No prior withdrawal of feed or water is necessary.

 

Purpose:

The 800 Series is a pelleted starter that maximizes bloom on weaned pigs, plus it makes a great creep feed. 800 is very similar to 700 but with more energy. This feed can be used alone or in conjunction with the 700 Series to get the finish just right on pigs that differ in genetic type and look. The 800 Series is gaining a reputation as "the best pig starter made!"

The 800 Series has guarantees of 19% Protein, 1.4% Lysine, 5.5% Fat and 0.7% Phosphorus. S-800 is medicated with 50 gr per ton of Mecadox. Use 25 to 50 pounds on pigs as a first feed when bringing them home from a show or another farm. It gives them more energy to keep healthy through stress.

 

Benefits:

S-801 is the same as S-800 but medicated with Tylan, allowing for a change in medications in small pigs. If you want to go with a high fat, highly palatable feed for a short time at the end of the feeding period, using S-801 is a way you can do that without worrying about drug withdrawal.

 

S-803 contains the popular starter medication combination of Denagard and Aureomycin (CTC). The 800 Series is positioned as the second stage in the Sunglo Show Pig/Breeder Program used to maximize bloom on weaned pigs. The 800 Series works best if used after First Response and until optimum bloom is obtained.

 

Purpose:

Complete pelleted feed that contains levels of protein, energy, vitamins and minerals to maintain health and future production in breeding stock.

 

Feeding Instructions:

A normal feeding plan is 4 to 5 pounds of Sow Gestation per day to gestating gilts or sows. Sow Gestation is also designed for mature boars. Additional feed may be fed during extreme weather or when trying to build body condition. Sow Gestation has guarantees of 14% Protein, 0.6% Lysine and 2% Fat.

Purpose:

High quality complete pellet designed for today's high producing sows. This complete pellet contains high levels of vitamins and minerals along with high quality northern grains. Feed Sow Lactation on an ad-lib basis to sows nursing pigs.

 

Feeding Instructions:

A laxative product should be top-dressed as needed for desired bowel condition at farrowing. Sow Lactation has guarantees of 17% Protein, 0.9% Lysine and 4% Fat.

Purpose:

Feed to dry sows and animals requiring a maintenance ration.
